Meta Quest 3S VR headset on sale for $297 — basically its old price
The Meta Quest 3S VR headset with 128GB storage is $296.79 on Amazon, close to its original launch price before a recent increase to $349.99.

The Meta Quest 3S VR headset with 128GB of storage is currently available on Amazon for $296.79, which is about $53 off the current price. This entry-level VR headset from Meta launched in 2024 at $299.99 before seeing a price increase to $349.99 earlier this year. While the discount isn't as dramatic as past sales, it's one of the better deals currently available for a new unit.
The headset blends features from the higher-end Quest 3 and the older Quest 2, offering a compromise between performance and cost. It operates as a standalone wireless device and supports a wide selection of games from the Quest store, including Batman: Arkham Shadow and Supernatural. Additionally, it can wirelessly stream Steam games from a PC, albeit with some added latency.
Compared to the Quest 2, the Quest 3S is faster and more comfortable, running the same chipset as the pricier Quest 3: the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2. While the screen resolution hasn't improved, nearly every other hardware aspect has been upgraded. It uses fresnel lenses like the Quest 2, rather than the pancake lenses found in the Quest 3, but shares the same cameras with color passthrough and the same controllers. The Quest 3, costing $600, offers higher image quality and superior optics.
It's unfortunate that the previous low prices, such as the $249 seen during Black Friday, are no longer available. However, for now, this deal is as good as it gets.
