Two People Lost in Forest Rescued This Week in Latvia
This week, rescue services in Latvia have saved two individuals who became lost in forests – one in Kuldīga region and one in Bauska region.

Second Rescue of the Week
The State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) reports that two people who got lost in forests have been rescued this week. On Wednesday evening, emergency crews responded to a call in Stelpe Parish, Bauska Municipality, where a person had lost their way. After approximately one hour of searching, the individual was found about two kilometers from their starting point.
Monday Incident in Kuldīga Region
On Monday morning, VUGD received a similar call in Rudbārži Parish, Kuldīga Municipality. There, a person was lost in the forest. Rescuers used a drone to locate the missing individual and then handed them over to medical personnel.
Daily Statistics
Over the past 24 hours, VUGD handled 51 calls: three were for firefighting, 37 for rescue operations, and 11 turned out to be false alarms.
