Middlesex thrash Glamorgan in one-day cricket clash
Middlesex won by eight wickets against Glamorgan in the Metro Bank Cup, bowling out their opponents for just 66 runs.
Middlesex cruised to an eight-wicket victory over Glamorgan in the Metro Bank One Day Cup at Radlett, after dismissing the Welsh side for a paltry 66 runs. This was Glamorgan's lowest-ever List A score against Middlesex and their fourth lowest overall.
Seamers Naavya Sharma (4-20), Toby Roland-Jones (3-35), and Noah Cornwell (3-1) shared the wickets as Glamorgan collapsed. Eddie Byrom's 29 was the top score, with the last nine wickets falling for just 22 runs. Both teams had five players at The Hundred, and Glamorgan also rested several key players due to workloads and injuries.
Middlesex chased down the target in just 9.1 overs, led by Josh de Caires' unbeaten 45 off 30 balls. Glamorgan gave List A debuts to 18-year-old Tom Edwards and Australian Connor O'Riordan. Middlesex have now won all three of their matches in the competition, while Glamorgan have one win from three.
Middlesex next face Worcester on Friday 31 July, while Glamorgan will meet Ben Stokes' Durham on Wednesday.
