Miezis to Compete for Masters Title, Lācis Stops in Semifinals
Nauris Miezis' team Ulaanbaatar advanced to the final, while Frančs Lācis' Deqing lost in the semifinals.
Frančs Lācis' team "Deqing" ended their run in the semifinals of the 3x3 basketball Masters tournament on Saturday, losing 18:22 to "Liman". Lācis was the second-highest scorer for his team with seven points (4/6 one-pointers, 1/4 two-pointers, 1/2 free throws) and grabbed seven rebounds.
In the other semifinal, Nauris Miezis' "Ulaanbaatar" dominated, defeating "Toulouse" 22:11. Miezis had a quieter scoring game with just four points (0/1 one-pointer, 2/4 two-pointers) but contributed eight rebounds. This marked Ulaanbaatar's seventh consecutive victory.
The final, set for today at 14:00, will see Miezis and Ulaanbaatar face off against "Liman".
