Millions in Tehran Attend Funeral Procession of Ali Khamenei

Iranian state media reported on Monday, July 6, that millions of people took to the streets of Tehran to participate in the funeral procession of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in February on the first day of the war with the US and Israel.

The crowd walked 10 kilometers behind the coffin, which was draped in Iran's national flag, according to "Aktuaalne Kaamera." Over the weekend, a farewell ceremony was held at the Great Mosque of Mossala, attended by three of Khamenei's four sons. His successor, Mojtaba, who has not been seen in public since the war began, was not observed at the farewell ceremony for his father.
