Two-time Olympic figure skating champion Artur Dmitriev dies at 58
Russian figure skater Artur Dmitriev, who won Olympic gold in pairs with two different partners, has died at the age of 58.

The Russian Figure Skating Federation has announced the death of Artur Dmitriev, a two-time Olympic champion in pairs skating, at the age of 58. Dmitriev made history as the first figure skater to win Olympic gold with two different partners.
He claimed his first gold at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics alongside Natalia Mishkutionok, representing the Unified Team. Six years later, at the 1998 Nagano Games, he secured his second Olympic title with Oksana Kazakova, skating for Russia.
Born in Ukraine, Dmitriev grew up in the Arctic city of Norilsk, Russia. After retiring from competition, he worked as a figure skating coach in Moscow and St. Petersburg. His son, also named Artur Dmitriev, has followed in his footsteps as a coach.
