Boy Hit by Judge in February Dies in Kryvyi Rih Hospital
An 11-year-old boy who was hit by a car driven by a judge while crossing a pedestrian crossing in Kryvyi Rih in February died on June 16.
A boy who was struck by a vehicle on a regulated pedestrian crossing in Kryvyi Rih in February has died in hospital. The child, who was 11 at the time of the accident, was walking with his mother when he was hit. He sustained severe injuries and died on June 16, nearly four months later.
According to sources from Ukrainska Pravda in law enforcement agencies and the local Telegram channel "Svoi. Kryvyi Rih," the driver was identified as Yevheniya Kostenko, a judge of the Dovhyntsi District Court. The channel also reported that the boy was 12 years old at the time of his death.
Ukrainska Pravda has contacted the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR), which is handling the case, for comments on the judge's current whereabouts and whether the case will be reclassified following the child's death. No further details have been released.
