The music world has lost one of its brightest stars from the 1980s. Bonnie Tyler, whose career spanned more than four decades, has died at the age of 75. She was best known for her 1983 megahit 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', which became one of the most popular ballads of all time.

Tyler's career began in the 1970s, performing in Welsh clubs and releasing her first singles. However, her true fame came in the 1980s, when her collaboration with producer Jim Steinman produced several spectacular hits. In addition to 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', she released popular singles such as 'Holding Out for a Hero' and 'It's a Heartache'.

The singer also represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013, a testament to her enduring popularity. Although her biggest successes were in the 1980s, she continued to perform and record music until the end of her life.

Bonnie Tyler leaves an indelible mark on music history, and her songs still play around the world.
