The mobile game 'Poinpy', which originally launched in 2022 as a Netflix exclusive, has returned and is now available for free. Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Ojiro Fumoto, who also created the game 'Downwell', have made 'Poinpy' accessible to everyone at no cost, without ads or microtransactions. 'Poinpy' is a colorful platformer where the player jumps upward through procedurally generated environments. The goal is to collect the right fruits to make juice for the beast following the player. Each run has a limited number of jumps, but these can be restored by stomping on pots and enemies. The game features permanent upgrades and power-ups, classifying it as a roguelite. After feeding the beast enough cocktails, players can see a lovely ending and a post-credits scene that explains why the creature must be fed. The game has been praised for its controls, artwork by Error403 and Calum Hook, and its captivating soundtrack. 'Poinpy' is now available on iOS and Android. Players have the option to send a tip to developer Fumoto if they wish to support him.
