Motorcyclist hits pedestrian during Kurland Bike Meet in Ventspils

A traffic accident occurred on Monday, July 3, in Ventspils when a motorcyclist hit a pedestrian. The incident took place on Brīvības Street, and the injured woman was taken to a medical facility.
The Emergency Medical Service reported that two people received assistance at the scene, both in stable condition, and were transferred to a hospital. Police confirmed that the motorcycle driver was not under the influence of alcohol.
The accident happened during the "Kurland Bike Meet" event, which started today in Ventspils. Bikers began arriving at the "Piejūras Kempings" campsite from 3 PM, with a concert scheduled for 8 PM featuring the Latvian band "Eazy Riders". The meeting is organized by the Latvian Motoclub Association together with the Ventspils municipality.
No other traffic incidents related to the event have been reported so far.
