Motorcycle rally participant hits pedestrian in Ventspils
During the "Kurland Bike Meet" motorcycle rally in Ventspils, a participant struck a pedestrian with his motorcycle. The injured woman was taken to hospital, and the driver was sober.

Today, a traffic accident occurred on Brīvības Street in Ventspils involving a participant of the "Kurland Bike Meet" motorcycle rally. According to the State Police, the motorcyclist hit a pedestrian, who was subsequently taken to a medical facility.
The Emergency Medical Service reported that two people received assistance at the scene – both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist. Both were transported to a hospital in stable condition.
Police confirmed that the motorcycle driver was not under the influence of alcohol. No other traffic incidents related to the event have been reported so far.
The "Kurland Bike Meet" rally began today at the "Piejūras kempings" in Ventspils, with participants arriving from 3:00 PM. A concert featuring the Latvian band "Eazy Riders" is scheduled for 8:00 PM. The event is organized by the Latvian Motorcycle Clubs Association in cooperation with the Ventspils municipality.
