Motorcyclist Injured After Collision with Wild Animal on Smiltene–Valka Road
In Valka municipality, a motorcyclist hit a wild animal that ran onto the road and was taken to hospital. Police have initiated administrative proceedings.

According to the State Police Vidzeme Regional Office, between June 26 and 28, 31 traffic accidents were recorded, four of which resulted in injuries to four people. A total of 345 administrative decisions were issued for traffic violations, including 221 for speeding.
On June 27 at 23:25, in Valka parish on the Smiltene–Valka highway at kilometer 41, a motorcyclist riding a Kawasaki collided with a wild animal that ran onto the roadway. The rider was injured and taken to a medical facility. Police have launched an administrative offense process.
Earlier that day at 08:03, in Zaube parish, Cēsis municipality, on the Augšlīgatne–Skrīveri road (P32), a man riding a Honda motorcycle left the road. The motorcyclist was also injured and hospitalized, with an administrative process initiated.
