Motorola 2026 Phone Review: Razr Ultra, Razr, and Moto G Stylus
Wired has published a detailed review of Motorola's 2026 smartphone lineup, highlighting the Razr Ultra as the best foldable on the market with excellent battery life and unique design, while criticizing the software update policy and camera quality compared to competitors.

Motorola has been growing rapidly in recent years, and its Razr series has become the most popular foldable phones in the US. The company offers a variety of models, so Wired experts evaluated the 2026 lineup to help consumers choose.
Razr Ultra (2026) – this model is the main reason to choose Motorola. It features a 4-inch outer OLED display that can be customized with widgets, and a 7-inch inner AMOLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 512 GB of storage, and 16 GB of RAM. The biggest improvement is the 5000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which can last up to three days on moderate use. The cameras are the best Motorola has offered, but still lag behind competitors. The software is clean, but the AI features are not very useful. Updates: three Android versions and five years of security patches.
Razr (2026) – a cheaper foldable model at $800. It has a MediaTek processor, a smaller outer screen, and weaker cameras, but the battery lasts one to two days. The price-to-performance ratio is excellent, especially compared to Samsung.
Moto G Stylus 2026 – the best Moto G model, standing out with a built-in stylus – a rare feature in this price segment ($500). It has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz, a 5200 mAh battery, and wireless charging. Cameras are weaker than competitors, but it includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microSD slot. Storage has been reduced to 128 GB, but it can be expanded.
Overall, Motorola phones feature a simple Android interface, ample storage, microSD slots, and 3.5 mm jacks, but lack an always-on display (except on Razr). Cameras and software updates remain weak points. Prices often drop, so it's advisable to wait for sales.
