330 kg of Marijuana Found at Customs Warehouse in Riga; Four Suspects Detained

The Tax and Customs Police have initiated criminal proceedings and detained four individuals on suspicion of drug smuggling and sanctions violations.

A large consignment of marijuana has been discovered at a customs warehouse in Riga. Officials from the Customs Board of the State Revenue Service (VID), accompanied by a dog handler and a service dog, conducted inspections that led to the discovery of 330 kilograms of marijuana, including packaging.
The Tax and Customs Police have launched a criminal investigation into the incident. Thanks to information obtained during previous operational activities, four people were detained on suspicion of involvement in marijuana smuggling and violations of sanctions.
