International Rallycross Event Set for Mūsa Raceland This Weekend
This weekend, July 18-19, the Mūsa Raceland track near Bauska will host the Mūsa Rallycross Weekend, featuring thrilling races in over a dozen classes.

On Saturday and Sunday, July 18-19, the Mūsa Raceland track near Bauska will host one of the summer's most anticipated motorsport events – the Mūsa Rallycross Weekend. The event will feature exciting contact races in 17 different classes, including the 4th round of the Latvian-Lithuanian Rallycross Championship and rounds of the Polish Rallycross Championship. Enthusiasm among participants is high: within a few days of opening registration, more than 65 drivers have confirmed, and organizers expect the total number to exceed 100. Competitors will represent Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland.
Representative of the event organizers Jānis Bergs stated that Mūsa is one of the fastest and most enjoyable tracks, allowing for high-level rallycross. Saturday will feature the first qualifying heats, while Sunday will bring the decisive battles for victory. Visitors can also explore the participant park, view the cars, and meet the drivers. Organizers have enhanced the spectator experience with a renovated grandstand offering a view of most of the track. A children's area with attractions will also be available.
Tickets are available at bilesuserviss.lv and on-site during the event. Currently, after three rounds of the Latvian-Lithuanian Rallycross Championship, leaders include Lukas Sidabras (BMW RX 3000), Valdas Mikuzis (SUPER 1600), Niks Mežiņš (LADA RX), and Jēkabs Martinovs (YARIS 1000). In youth classes, Roberts Purmalis and Gustavs Korņējevs lead. In SUPER 2000, Lenards Lepsis holds a slim one-point lead over Varis Žentiņš, and in the team standings, SK Garkalne Racing is in first place.
