Long-serving Director of Riga 13th Secondary School Ludmila Krutikova Passes Away

On July 24, 2026, Ludmila Krutikova, the long-time director of Riga 13th Secondary School, passed away after dedicating more than 36 years to education in Latvia, the school announced.

Krutikova was remembered not only as a school leader but also as a person who left a lasting impression on generations of graduates through her support, wise advice, and ability to inspire. She was known for her high sense of responsibility, fairness, honesty, and genuine respect for everyone.

The school community noted that for Krutikova, the role of director meant much more than just administration – she saw opportunities for growth and actively drove change. "She did not wait for changes – she created them herself," the school's statement read, highlighting her talent for inspiring people to work toward common goals and implement bold ideas.

Farewell to Ludmila Krutikova will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Riga Church of St. John the Forerunner, located at Lielā Kalna iela 21, Riga.
