MX2 rider Lata reportedly set to return to KTM
Italian motocross rider Lata may leave HRC Honda after two seasons to rejoin KTM as part of the revamped De Carli KTM team.

Italian motocross rider Lata, 21, who currently competes in the MX2 class, appears to be heading toward a return to Austrian manufacturer KTM. The brand is no stranger to him — before signing with the official HRC Honda team in 2025, he spent several years racing for Marchetti KTM and Beddini GasGas, establishing himself as one of Europe's brightest young talents.
Lata also has a personal history of success with KTM machinery, having won the EMX125 European Championship in 2021.
Possible move away from Honda
After two seasons with HRC Honda, Lata now looks set to depart the team. Reports indicate that Honda had the option to extend his contract through 2027, but the team chose not to stand in the way of his move elsewhere.
If the deal is finalized, Lata would join the revamped De Carli KTM lineup. He is expected to be joined there by MXGP rider Maxime Renaux, marking a new chapter for the team following the end of its partnership with the Coenen brothers.
While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, all indications suggest that the Italian rider's next career move will be to the Red Bull KTM ranks.
