The MX2 World Championship qualifying race in Sweden brought a dramatic turn for season leader Guillem Faresse. The French rider took the lead but crashed soon after, losing his chance to fight for the race win.

Simon Langenfelder capitalized on the situation, going on to win the qualifying race. Latvia's Jānis Reišulis finished just behind the top three, delivering a strong result.

The race was less successful for fellow Latvian Kārlis Reišulis, who crashed following contact with Julius Mikula.

MXGP class

In the MXGP category, Jeffrey Herlings took the win. Latvian rider Pauls Jonass held fifth place early in the race but ultimately finished sixth.

The results count toward the overall standings being built throughout the 2026 MXGP season.
