Nations League: Slovenia Beat Scotland, Estonia Draw with Iceland, Belarus Defeat Finland

In the fourth round of the UEFA Nations League, Slovenia won 2-1 away to Scotland, and Switzerland beat North Macedonia 3-0. Estonia drew 0-0 with Iceland in Tallinn, while Belarus beat Finland 1-0 in Budapest.

In Group 1 of UEFA Nations League Division B, Scotland lost 1-2 to Slovenia at home despite taking the lead in the first half. Ryan Christie scored for Scotland in the 31st minute, after Jack Hendry's header struck the post. In the second half Slovenia turned the match around: Aljoša Matko scored in the 56th minute, and Danijel Šturm got the winner in the 71st. In both cases the scorers combined with each other, setting one another up.

Scotland have collected only four points in this window. Switzerland, by contrast, beat North Macedonia 3-0 and kept a perfect record. Fabian Rieder scored the opener late in the first half, before Johan Manzambi and Dan Ndoye secured the result.

Estonia and Bulgaria in Division C

In Group 4 of Division C, Estonia drew 0-0 with Iceland in Tallinn and remain unbeaten. Bulgaria won 2-0 away to Luxembourg, with goals from Kristian Balov and Atanas Iliev. It was Bulgaria's first win in the competition.

Belarus defeat Finland

In Group 1 of Division C, Belarus beat Finland 1-0 in Budapest. Artsyom Shumanski scored the winning goal in the very first minute. The result dropped Finland from first to third place in the group. Later, in the 15th minute, the goalkeeper saved a penalty taken by Zakhar Volkau.

Albania, meanwhile, beat San Marino 2-1. Kristjan Asllani decided the match with two goals, including a penalty awarded in stoppage time.
