The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC) has released its weather outlook for the last full week of August, pointing to shifting conditions over the coming days.
According to forecasters, an anticyclone — an area of high atmospheric pressure typically associated with calm, dry and sunny conditions — will approach Latvia's territory around the middle of the week. This spell of pleasant weather is expected to last for several days.
However, the fair conditions will not persist. By the end of the week, the anticyclone will be replaced by rain clouds, bringing a return to wetter and more changeable weather.
The LVĢMC forecast provides a general picture of expected trends, with more precise details for specific days and regions typically refined closer to the date.
