Regular boat service between Bolderāja and Vecmīlgrāve planned for next spring
Riga City Council's Urban Development Committee was told that regular boat service between the Bolderāja and Vecmīlgrāve districts could launch in April next year. The plan aims to create a convenient water link between the two areas of Riga.

At a meeting of the Riga City Council's Urban Development Committee on Monday, representatives of the City Development Department presented plans for a regular boat connection between the districts of Bolderāja and Vecmīlgrāve.
According to the department's representatives, such a water transport service could begin operating next spring, specifically in April. The two districts lie on opposite banks of the Daugava River, and travelling between them by land currently requires a detour, so a boat service could offer residents and visitors a faster and more convenient alternative.
The information presented at the meeting indicates that the project is still at the planning stage, and detailed specifics about the route, frequency or costs have not yet been made public.
