Rain and possible thunderstorms expected across Latvia overnight and on Monday

The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC) has issued a weather forecast warning of precipitation across much of the country over the coming day.

According to meteorologists, rain is expected intermittently in many parts of Latvia overnight into Monday. Forecasters note that heavy downpours are possible in some locations.

Thunderstorms not ruled out

The centre warns that thunderstorms cannot be excluded in certain regions. The unsettled weather is expected to continue through Monday, affecting a large part of the country's territory.

Residents planning to travel or spend time outdoors overnight or on Monday are advised to follow updated forecasts and take into account possible disruptions caused by the deteriorating weather conditions.
