Thick fog expected across much of Latvia overnight into Tuesday
Latvia's Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre has warned of fog forming Monday evening and persisting until Tuesday morning, with visibility dropping to as little as 500-1000 metres in some areas.
Meteorologists from Latvia's Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre are forecasting fog to develop across much of the country on Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday.
According to the forecast, fog will begin forming between 8pm and 11pm on Monday and is expected to persist until the following morning. Visibility during this period is expected to range between 500 and 1000 metres.
Forecasters warned that in some locations the fog could become particularly dense, potentially disrupting outdoor activities and making road travel more difficult. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and adjust their speed accordingly in areas of reduced visibility.
