Lielupe bridge on Liepāja highway to close overnight for repairs

State joint-stock company Latvijas valsts ceļi (LVC) has announced that the Lielupe bridge, located on the Liepāja highway, will be closed to traffic at night over the coming two weeks. The closures are connected to repair work being carried out on the bridge.

What changes for traffic

According to LVC, the work will take place only during nighttime hours, meaning the bridge should remain open to traffic without restrictions during the day. The company has not specified the exact nights or hours when the closures will be in effect.

Drivers who regularly use this route are advised to expect possible detours or delays on the affected nights while the repair work continues.

LVC notes that the repairs are being carried out to maintain the technical condition of the bridge and ensure safe traffic conditions going forward.
