Russian social media reported a Ukrainian attack on the city of Belgorod and the Chuvashia republic, resulting in a fire at the "Luch" thermal power plant, power outages, and water supply cuts in Belgorod.

On the night of July 4, Russian social media reported attacks on the city of Belgorod and the Chuvashia republic. According to eyewitnesses, explosions in Belgorod led to fires, power outages, and disruption of water supply. Local channels released footage showing the "Luch" thermal power plant engulfed in flames.
Earlier on Friday evening, the Belgorod region water utility had warned of power cuts at water supply facilities. Governor Alexander Shuvaev stated there were no casualties, but infrastructure objects were damaged, and there were interruptions in electricity and water supply. Several infrastructure facilities caught fire.
In Chuvashia, residents also published footage allegedly showing a Ukrainian night attack. The Telegram channel "Angry Chuvashia" reported that missiles were spotted in the Alatyrsky district in the southwest of the republic and over the Komsomolsky district in the east.
