Narva-Jõesuu council proposed to award mayor €5,000 bonus

The chairman of Narva-Jõesuu city council has proposed a one-time €5,000 bonus for Mayor Maksim Ilyin for effective governance. Councillors will vote on the proposal on September 30.

Aare Objartel, chairman of the city council in the Estonian town of Narva-Jõesuu, has drafted a decision to award Mayor Maksim Ilyin a one-time bonus of €5,000, an amount equal to his monthly salary.

According to the draft, the bonus would be granted for effective leadership of the city, including the implementation of the breakwater (mole) construction project in Narva-Jõesuu. The cost of the payment would be covered from the city budget.

City council members are set to review and vote on the draft decision at a meeting scheduled for September 30.
