Next week, from July 6 to 12, NATO air policing mission fighter jets will conduct training flights in Estonian airspace, including at low altitudes. The exercises will take place daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a minimum flight altitude of 152 meters. During the training, aircraft may break the sound barrier, producing a characteristic sonic boom resembling an explosion or artillery fire. The flights are organized in coordination with the Estonian Transport Department and the company Lennuliiklusteenindus. NATO noted that such training is part of regular crew preparation and is necessary to maintain the combat readiness of the aviation that ensures the protection of Baltic airspace.
