The first half of the last week of July in Latvia will be marked by thunderstorms and heavy rain due to cyclone activity. On Monday, July 27, skies will be mostly cloudy with some sunny breaks. At night, rain is expected in western and central regions, spreading to larger areas during the day, with local heavy downpours and thunderstorms. Winds will be light to moderate from the south and southwest, becoming gusty during storms. In the afternoon, winds in the west will shift to west-northwest, gusting up to 15–17 m/s. Night temperatures will be +14…+18°C, daytime +22…+27°C, but cooler in the west at +18…+21°C.

On Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29, clouds will alternate with sunshine, with occasional rain. Tuesday may see thunderstorms and heavy showers. Winds will be light to moderate from the west and southwest, remaining gusty along the coast and during thunderstorms. Night temperatures will drop to +11…+16°C, with Wednesday night possibly as low as +10°C in eastern areas. Daytime highs will reach +18…+22°C.

Towards the end of the workweek, the weather will become warmer and calmer, with only isolated rain showers. However, during the weekend, cumulonimbus clouds will form again, bringing thunderstorms to some areas. Current forecasts indicate that Friday, July 31, could be the driest and hottest day of the week, with temperatures exceeding +25°C across most of the country.
