Latvian meteorologists forecast changeable weather over the next few days, with variable cloudiness and occasional rain, including thunderstorms in some places. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +8..+14°C, and fog may form locally.
Thursday will see highs of +16..+21°C, while Friday and Saturday will be warmer, reaching +18..+23°C. On Sunday, temperatures are expected to climb further to +20..+25°C.
The following week promises to be even hotter, with the mercury possibly reaching +28°C on some days. However, rain and thunderstorms are also expected at times.
According to the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, August in Latvia is likely to be about one degree warmer than the long-term average. Precipitation levels in the last month of summer are expected to be near normal.
