The first half of the week in Latvia has been rainy, with Kurzeme and Zemgale already exceeding the monthly precipitation norm in all observation stations. In the coming days, cyclones will cause isolated rain, but the weekend will see a warmer air mass entering the country, leading to temperatures exceeding +25°C in some places early next week, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.

Friday, July 24, will be cloudy, with skies clearing at times during the day. Isolated rain is expected at night, and in many places in central and eastern regions during the day. Light winds will blow. Nighttime temperatures will be +10…+15°C, rising to +17…+21°C during the day.

The weekend will have variable cloudiness, with scattered rain in some places. On Saturday, light winds will prevail over most of the country, leading to fog formation in many areas, reducing visibility. On Saturday night, starting from the second half of the night in Kurzeme, and on Sunday across the entire country, light to moderate southerly winds will set in. Nighttime lows will be +10…+15°C, while daytime highs will reach +18…+23°C, with up to +25°C on Sunday in some places.

Early next week, summer-like warmth will return, with light to moderate winds and some rain expected. From mid-week, precipitation will cease, and the weather will be mostly dry and sunny.
