About 240 customers still without power a week after storm
A week after the powerful storm that hit Latvia on August 22, around 240 customers of grid operator "Sadales tīkls" are still without electricity, the company reported.
A week has passed since the powerful storm struck Latvia on August 22, yet some residents are still waiting for their electricity supply to be restored. According to Ilze Dimante, head of external communications at AS "Sadales tīkls", approximately 240 of the company's customers currently remain without power.
The storm caused significant damage to electricity grid infrastructure in late August, and the company has since been working to repair the damage and restore power supply in the affected areas. While electricity has already been restored for the majority of residents, a small number of customers are still experiencing outages, reflecting the scale of the damage the storm inflicted on the grid.
"Sadales tīkls" continues working to eliminate the remaining faults and fully restore electricity supply to all affected customers.
