Palestinian baby dies in West Bank after Israel blocks urgent medical care
A four-month-old Palestinian boy died after an Israeli checkpoint denied him emergency medical care; also, a 16-year-old was shot dead in the West Bank and two people were killed in Gaza.

Laila Ghannam, governor of Ramallah and el-Bireh, said on Facebook that doctors at the Arab Specialised Hospital confirmed the death of Ahmad Marouf Zeid on Sunday evening after Israeli forces prevented his transfer to the hospital for over an hour despite his critical condition. Ghannam stated that Israeli soldiers fired tear gas to stop Palestinians trying to pass the checkpoint at the entrance to Deir Ammar village. She called the incident "a stain on the conscience of humanity" and part of Israeli policy to obstruct Palestinians' freedom of movement and access to healthcare.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that Israeli forces shot dead a 16-year-old boy at the Qalandiya refugee camp near Ramallah, and wounded two other 14-year-old boys. Violence in the West Bank has escalated since Israel's genocidal war on Gaza began over 1,000 days ago. According to the ministry, Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 1,087 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 2023.
Meanwhile, in Gaza, an Israeli drone targeted a crowd on Omar al-Mukhtar Street in Gaza City on Sunday, killing at least two people and wounding several others. Gaza's Health Ministry said that Israeli army violations of the ceasefire with Hamas, effective since October, have killed 1,066 people and wounded 3,445. The overall death toll from Israel's genocidal war on Gaza since October 2023 has reached 73,090, with 173,550 injured, the ministry added.
