Power restored to most after storm: 80 faults fixed, 480 customers still without electricity
Severe thunderstorms caused power outages in eastern Latvia on Sunday afternoon. By Monday morning, 'Sadales tīkls' had repaired 80 faults, but around 480 customers remained without power.

On Sunday, July 12, in the afternoon, powerful thunderstorms with strong wind gusts hit eastern Latvia, causing widespread power supply disruptions. The distribution system operator AS "Sadales tīkls" immediately deployed its emergency crews, working in intensified mode through the night.
From Sunday afternoon until Monday, July 13, at 6:00 AM, the company's workers repaired 80 faults caused by the extreme weather. However, on Monday morning, power was still disrupted for about 480 customers. Repair work continues to restore full electricity supply to all affected residents.
