Edijs described the disaster as almost impossible to comprehend, saying that a tragedy of this scale — with so many victims and missing people — is difficult to grasp even for those directly affected.
During the conversation, it emerged that among those still missing are particularly heartbreaking cases: a girl who lost both of her parents in the disaster, and a man who is still waiting for word on the fate of his wife. Edijs stressed that behind every missing person is a family now living in uncertainty, hoping for good news.
