The invisible work: AB Clausen Latvia – a bridge between architect’s vision and reality
Latvian engineering company AB Clausen Latvia, led by Artūrs Veiss, designs load-bearing structures for buildings across Europe, staying invisible precisely because their work is done flawlessly.

If a building stands strong for decades, no one notices – and that is the highest praise for a structural engineer. Artūrs Veiss, head of AB Clausen Latvia, and his team of 11 design load-bearing structures – from an observation tower near Valmiera to a hotel in Old Riga. Their work often goes unnoticed precisely because it is done well.
The company started as a branch of a Danish enterprise but is now a fully Latvia-based firm with clients across Europe. The engineering team tackles complex challenges to turn architects’ visions into safe, durable buildings. Despite their crucial role, their contribution remains behind the scenes – until the structure stands the test of time.
