Netflix and Rockstar unveil extended look at GTA VI

Rockstar Games, in partnership with Netflix, has released an extended preview of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI. Captured on PlayStation 5, the footage shows the game retaining the series' familiar elements — open-world exploration, driving, crime, shootouts, and cinematic story sequences — while presenting noticeably improved graphics, detailed environments, and densely packed interiors compared to earlier entries.

Partners in crime

Much of the footage centers on how protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos operate as a team. In one scene, the player controls Duval as he leans out of a moving car's window to fire at pursuing police while Caminos drives. Later, the roles switch, with the player driving as Caminos while Duval and another character continue shooting at police.

Another segment depicts a mission where the pair are separated. Duval, acting as security, defends an upper floor of a building by taking cover and firing at incoming enemies, while Caminos moves stealthily on a different floor to avoid detection. At one point she is shown struggling on the ground against an attacker, with on-screen prompts to press buttons to break free.

More activities glimpsed

Beyond the cinematic sequences, the video briefly shows additional gameplay elements, including a weapon selection wheel, boat driving, basketball, underwater diving, track racing, and parachuting.

The reveal follows several video leaks attributed to a person or group calling themselves "CyberLeek," which Rockstar previously described as "heartbreaking." The full extended look was released Thursday on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the GTA VI website. The game is set to launch on November 19th starting at $79.99, though it will not be available on physical disc.
