Pakistan's victory at Old Trafford

Pakistan's women's cricket team concluded their T20 World Cup campaign in style, securing a 37-run win over the winless Netherlands at Old Trafford.

Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan posted 126 for six in their 20 overs. Gull Feroza remained unbeaten on 63, while Ayesha Zafar contributed 32, sharing a 79-run partnership for the second wicket. Five Pakistan batters scored in single figures, with Iris Zwilling taking two wickets for 19 runs for the Netherlands.

Netherlands' collapse

The Netherlands started their chase well, with Heather Siegers striking 24 off 16 balls before being trapped lbw by Diana Baig. Babette de Leede played a composed innings of 30 off 41 balls, but the required run rate began to climb.

The turning point came when the Netherlands, at 76 for three, lost their last seven wickets for just 13 runs in the space of four overs. Fatima Sana struck twice in consecutive balls, dismissing De Leede and Silver Siegers. Caroline de Lange survived the hat-trick ball but was bowled two deliveries later.

Netherlands were all out for 89 in 17.5 overs. Fatima Sana and Ayesha Zafar each took three wickets, while Diana Baig and Sadia Iqbal also contributed with the ball.
