Ninja's Crispi Microwave Combines Microwave and Air Fryer Functions
Ninja introduces its first microwave, the Crispi, which also serves as an air fryer. Available for $449, it offers a flatbed design and multiple presets to heat and crisp food.

Ninja has unveiled its first microwave, the Crispi Microwave, which sets itself apart by also functioning as an air fryer. The appliance is now available through SharkNinja’s online store for $449.
The 1,000-watt microwave features a flatbed interior rather than a turntable, which Ninja claims provides 40% more usable cooking surface compared to traditional microwaves. This design allows space for two bags of popcorn and is said to be easier to clean.
After heating food with microwaves, users can switch to air fryer mode, which circulates superheated air up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The air fryer mode includes presets such as air bake, max crisp, and air broil. It uses a 5.5-quart glass container with an insert that allows air to flow beneath the food for even crisping. Ninja says the container can hold an 8-pound chicken. The appliance comes with two lids: one for storage and one with a vent for steaming vegetables.
The Crispi Microwave also includes standard microwave presets like popcorn, defrost, frozen dinner, and soften butter. By combining two functions, it aims to replace both a microwave and an air fryer on the kitchen counter.
