Nintendo’s Talking Flower Gets a Small Price Cut
The Nintendo Talking Flower, a toy based on a character from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, has received a price reduction from $34.99 to $29.99 at Amazon and Walmart.

Nintendo’s Talking Flower, inspired by a whimsical character from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, has seen a small price drop. Originally priced at $34.99, the toy is now available for $29.99 from Amazon and Walmart.
The gadget has limited utility—unlike the $110 Alarmo, it cannot serve as an alarm, though it asks about sleep and wake times to know when to stay quiet. It announces each hour when the user is awake, makes random comments, and can remark on the time of day and temperature thanks to a built-in thermometer. The Talking Flower lacks a microphone and internet connectivity but features a button to trigger speech. Users can select the language it speaks.
The Verge’s Andrew Webster, who tried the device, described it as a “drip feed of whimsy” that occasionally reminds users to take care of themselves, like slowing down or taking a lunch break. Amazon reviews show mixed reactions—some find it annoying, yet still love it, much like the in-game character.
