Regional bus timetables to change from 1 November around Limbaži, Sigulda and Saulkrasti
From 1 November, Latvia's Road Transport Directorate is altering departure times, stops and trips on several regional bus routes near Limbaži, Sigulda and Saulkrasti. A new evening trip to Ragana is being added, while some little-used trips will be cut.

Changes to regional bus timetables in the Limbaži, Sigulda and Saulkrasti areas of Latvia take effect on 1 November. They were prepared by the Road Transport Directorate (ATD), taking into account proposals from municipalities, planning regions, schools and passengers. The aim is to match timetables to actual travel times and passenger needs. The changes affect trips, departure times and stops.
Departure times changed
In the Limbaži area:
- Limbaži–Tūja–Saulkrasti: the weekday trip departs at 5.20 (previously 5.10).
- Limbaži–Aloja: from Aloja, Monday to Thursday during the school term, at 13.45 (previously 13.40); from Limbaži at 12.50 (previously 12.45).
- Cēsis–Limbaži: on weekdays at 6.20 (previously 6.35).
- Rīga–Ainaži: following a passenger's complaint about regular delays in Ādaži, the trip from Ainaži leaves at 6.00 (previously 6.05) and the trip from Rīga International Coach Terminal at 17.35 (previously 17.40). Both changes apply to daily services.
In the Sigulda area:
- Sigulda–Kaķīškalns–Institūts–Sigulda: the weekday trip leaves at 7.10 (previously 7.15), and the 13.00 trip on weekdays and Saturdays moves to 13.25.
- Sigulda–Jūdaži–More–Eglaine: the school-term trip leaves at 5.50 (previously 5.40).
- Rīga–Ropaži–Allaži–Sigulda: the weekday trip from Rīga International Coach Terminal departs at 17.10 (previously 15.45).
Relocated stop and new trip
Because of road reconstruction, the Staicele stop has been moved, so timetables and trip lengths were adjusted on the Limbaži–Aloja–Staicele, Rīga–Limbaži–Ainaži and Cēsis–Valmiera–Ainaži routes.
At the request of Sigulda Municipality, the Rīga–Ragana–Sigulda route gets a new weekday evening trip, leaving Sigulda bus station at 18.30, running to Ragana and returning. Because this part of the network has reached its maximum permitted total mileage, less-used trips elsewhere were reviewed.
Trips cut
Due to low demand, two trips on the Sigulda–Saltavots–Pelītes–Sigulda route will be discontinued. In their place, on school-term weekdays, passengers can use Sigulda–Institūts–Jūdaži trips leaving Sigulda bus station at 6.55 and 15.20, which will also serve the Pelītes, Saltavots, Ancīši, Pagrieziens uz Allažiem and Sigulda stops. One trip on the Stīveri skola–Stīveri route is cancelled because of a lack of passengers. On some trips on the Sigulda–Nurmiži, Sigulda–Jūdaži–More–Eglaine and Limbaži–Viļķene–Salacgrīva routes, buses will no longer enter stops where nobody boards or alights and alternatives exist.
New stops and a renamed stop
New stops are Vērpes (on four routes toward Saulkrasti), Baltais flīģelis (Sigulda–Kaķīškalns–Institūts–Sigulda) and Bērnudārzs (Limbaži–Lēdurga–Sigulda). At Sigulda Municipality's request, the Druviņas stop will be renamed Stemberģi, as the new name better fits its location.
