Bus Routes Between Liepāja, Vērgale and Ziemupe to Change from August
From August 1, regional bus routes connecting Liepāja with Vērgale and Ziemupe will see schedule adjustments, including changes to operating days and new services.

The Autotransporta direkcija (ATD) has announced changes to two regional bus routes from August 1, aiming to improve mobility for residents traveling between Liepāja and nearby areas.
On route No. 5124 Liepāja–Vērgale, the morning departure from Liepāja (Kuršu iela) at 8:00 will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the warm season (May 1 to September 30), extending to Laivenieki. In the cold season (October 1 to April 30), this service will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays without reaching Laivenieki.
The 11:00 departure from Vērgales centrs will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the warm season, including a stop at Ziemupe. In the cold season, the same service will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, also calling at Ziemupe. The earlier 9:05 departure from Vērgales centrs will be discontinued.
On route No. 6908 Liepāja–Ziemupe, several trips are being rescheduled. The morning trip from Ziemupe at 7:25 will now run only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Similar changes apply to the afternoon departures from Liepāja at 15:20 and from Ziemupe at 16:45: they will operate only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
New services will be introduced: from Liepāja (Kuršu iela) at 9:30 (Saturdays), 15:20 (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and 15:30 (Saturdays). From the “Kopdarbs” stop, new trips at 7:47 and 16:34 will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additional departures from Ziemupe will be at 11:00 and 17:00 on Saturdays.
The services will be operated by Liepājas autobusu parks. The changes have been coordinated with the Kurzeme Planning Region. Passengers are advised to check updated timetables on the ATD website, at stops, and on the portal 1188.lv.
