Jewelry worth millions stolen from French museum
Thieves broke into a museum dedicated to René Lalique and stole about twenty pieces of jewelry, with losses estimated at several million euros, likely close to four million. The museum will be closed for several days.

A significant theft has occurred at a museum in France dedicated to renowned Art Nouveau and Art Deco jeweler and glass artist René Lalique. The burglars entered the museum at around 5:30 AM local time and went straight to the room where the jewelry was kept.
According to a source close to the investigation, approximately twenty jewelry items were stolen. The exact amount of the loss is still being assessed, but it is estimated to be several million euros, most likely close to four million euros.
The museum announced on its website that it will remain closed for several days due to the theft. The museum, which opened in 2011, is dedicated to the work of René Lalique, known for his exquisite jewelry and glass designs.
