Starting September 1 and running through May 31, libraries in Smiltene municipality will switch to their standard winter working hours, bringing back weekend access for visitors.

Smiltene library

The Adult Services department at Dakteru Street 27 will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 15:00. The Children's Services department at Gaujas Street 1 will operate on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00, while opening on Saturdays only once a month — specifically the second Saturday, from 9:00 to 15:00.

Rauna library

The Rauna library will be open on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00. It will switch to this winter schedule, including Saturday visiting hours, starting September 12.

Blome library

The Blome library will now also be open on Fridays. Its hours will be Monday 8:30–18:00, Tuesday through Thursday 8:30–17:00, and Friday 8:30–16:00, with a lunch break each day from 12:30 to 13:00.

Library staff are encouraging visitors to plan their visits, including on Saturdays, to read, find information and make use of the services the libraries offer.
