Woman suspected of pimping extradited to Ukraine from Serbia

A woman suspected of pimping has been extradited to Ukraine from Serbia, according to Kyiv police and the Kyiv city prosecutor's office. She is currently held in custody.

The case dates back to 2022, when law enforcement documented the criminal activity of a group operating a pimping scheme in Kyiv during a pretrial investigation. The group had created a Telegram channel called "Vip Models Kiev," where photos of women were posted and offered to clients for sexual services. Investigators found that the women were delivered to clients even during curfew hours, using special passes.

Payments for the services were transferred to card accounts specified by the woman suspected of running the operation. Services reportedly cost clients between 2,500 and 6,500 hryvnias on average, with pimps taking the larger share of that sum.

Following the investigation, the Pecherskyi district prosecutor's office in Kyiv sent an indictment against the group to the Pecherskyi district court. However, one member of the group — a 48-year-old resident of Kyiv region — had left Ukraine and evaded investigators.

In late August 2026, following an international legal assistance request, the suspect was extradited to Ukraine from Serbia. The Pecherskyi district court in Kyiv ordered her held in custody, with the option to be released on bail of 1,470,000 hryvnias. According to Ukrainska Pravda, the suspect has not paid the bail and remains in custody.

The pretrial investigation has now been completed, and the indictment has been submitted to court. The accused's actions have been classified as pimping or inducing persons into prostitution under Part 1 and 2 of Article 303 of Ukraine's Criminal Code, which carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
