Anaïs Gallagher, a 26-year-old model, photographer and internet personality, went to a hospital emergency department with serious breathing difficulties. She is the daughter of Noel Gallagher, 59, a member of the British rock band Oasis. According to her, the problem began two days earlier at a London cinema, where an unexpected police presence set off a strong panic attack.

What happened at the cinema

In a video on her YouTube channel, Anaïs said she was at a cinema in Leicester Square, London, watching the film "Verity", which stars Anne Hathaway. She said five or six police officers carrying torches walked into the screening room while she was eating popcorn. They were looking for a man.

She explained that she often feels anxious in cinemas because she fears something bad could happen there. This time the experience was so intense that she had to leave. She said she found it very hard to breathe and that even around 40 hours later she still could not take a normal breath.

Medical findings

Afterwards Anaïs called her mother, Meg Mathews, who came to her straight away. Because the breathing problems did not go away, the young woman decided to go to hospital. Doctors carried out a chest X-ray and checked her heart, and concluded that she had suffered a severe panic attack. Later she confirmed on TikTok that she was all right.

Her father's experience

Noel Gallagher has also struggled with panic attacks. On the podcast "Funny How?", in a conversation with Matt Morgan, he said severe panic attacks were the reason he stopped using cocaine. Before that, he had used the drug every evening for four years. He also recalled once ending up in hospital during a psychosis episode, where doctors could not understand what he was saying because of his accent.
