A 1997 Epiphone guitar once belonging to Oasis musician Noel Gallagher has sold for £12,000 at an auction held by Littleton Auctions. According to the auctioneer, the instrument is believed to be one of five identical guitars given to Gallagher by the manufacturer, and it was later passed on to a man named Richards.

Also from Richards' collection, a set of 11 framed platinum discs linked to the Oasis album "What's the Story Morning Glory" sold for £2,000. The discs had originally been presented to Richards by Creation Records in recognition of the album's UK sales surpassing 3.3 million copies.

Further pieces from the Richards collection included tour itineraries, promotional materials and a watch themed around the "Be Here Now" album, all of which found buyers at the sale.

Several other sellers also brought Oasis-related memorabilia to the auction. A rare original ticket from a concert by The Rain — the Manchester band that later evolved into Oasis — sold for £2,400. An early Oasis demo tape went for £3,600, while a collection of early photographs of the band fetched £5,400. A pair of leather shoes once owned by Noel Gallagher sold for £1,200.

However, a baby grand piano featured in the artwork for the "Supersonic" single, valued at between £100,000 and £150,000, did not find a buyer.
