Formula 1 driver Lando Norris has agreed to continue his partnership with his current team, McLaren, through the 2030 season. The announcement comes shortly after it emerged that Max Verstappen will also remain with Red Bull at least until 2030.

According to estimates, Norris stands to earn approximately 140 million euros over the next four years under the new contract.

Season progress

Earlier this season, Norris struggled with technical issues affecting McLaren's power unit, but he has managed to win the last two races. Still, he has a long way to go to reach the top of the overall standings — the lead is currently held by Kimi Antonelli with 242 points, while Norris sits fourth with 159 points.

Experience with the team

Last season, Norris became an F1 champion for the first time in his career. This is his eighth season as a full-time race driver, having previously served as McLaren's reserve and test driver.
