Latvian alternative rock band R.A.P. has released a new remix of one of its best-known songs, “Nekas vairs nav tā” (“Nothing Is the Same Anymore”). The remix is done in a 1990s eurodance style by N’Works, a Latvian producer of intelligent dance music. The wider public knows him as schlager performer Normunds Rutulis, who has previously remixed many other popular Latvian pop songs.

The remix came out one month before the band’s concert “Nekas vairs nav tā 25”. It will take place on 7 November at the Angārs concert hall in the Tallinas iela quarter in Riga and is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the band’s first hit.

What came before

This is not the first new version of the song in its anniversary year. This spring, to mark the song’s 25th anniversary, the band already released a fully re-recorded version of “Nekas vairs nav tā”.

The band’s activity

R.A.P., a group from Kuldīga, reunited at the end of 2024 after a break of many years and has performed actively ever since. In that time it has also released three new songs and a live album.

The source does not say how exactly the band plans to honour the song at the concert, but the new remix already gives an idea of the anniversary mood.
