Unknown Tall Man's Body Found on Uninhabited Island in Norway; Police Seek International Help
In mid-June, environmental activists discovered human remains on an uninhabited island in Norway's Lofoten archipelago. The man had been in the water for one to four weeks. As no local matches are found, police are asking the international community for assistance in identification.

Discovery on Remote Island
The remains of a man were found on an uninhabited island in the Lofoten archipelago in northern Norway. A volunteer from the cleanup organization "In The Same Boat" made the discovery while collecting trash on the beach in mid-June. The organization's representatives told NRK that their team cleans about 70% of Norway's coastline annually, so volunteers must be mentally prepared for such grim finds.
Forensic Details
Preliminary forensic examination indicates the man had been in the water for at least one week but no more than four weeks. Police have released a description and photos of the deceased's belongings: a man aged approximately 40–60, unusually tall at about two meters, wearing size 48 Tommy Hilfiger shoes, a white gold ring with one blue and one white stone, and a Casio G-Shock digital watch with a black strap.
International Appeal
Since no one in the region matches the description and no DNA matches have been found in national registries, investigators are looking abroad. Police are widely distributing information and photos of the items internationally, hoping someone recognizes the distinctive possessions.
