Czech tennis player Linda Noskova advanced to the Wimbledon final on Saturday evening by defeating Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk 6-4, 6-4. The 21-year-old Noskova will play for her first Grand Slam title. The temperature on Centre Court reached 32 degrees Celsius during the match.

Noskova secured the victory in one hour and 19 minutes. She dominated on second-serve points (58% to Kostyuk's 41%) and won more total points (67-55). The Czech converted three of six break points while Kostyuk converted her only one. Noskova hit one ace and two double faults, compared to Kostyuk's five aces and two double faults. Her winners-to-unforced-errors ratio was 6-17, while Kostyuk's was 22-22.

This summer, Noskova boasts an 11-1 record on grass. Kostyuk had been 22-2 since April. With this win, Noskova evened their head-to-head record at 1-1. It was Kostyuk's first Wimbledon semifinal and Noskova's first Grand Slam semifinal ever. Noskova is playing at Wimbledon for the third consecutive year (she reached the fourth round last year), while Kostyuk made her eighth appearance.

The other semifinal pits Karolina Muchova against Coco Gauff. Additionally, on July 9, the mixed doubles final will feature Latvia's Alona Ostapenko and Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador against Storm Hunter and Marc Polmans.
